2020 was intense!! So, One River responded in the way that we knew we needed to – we set our gaze on Jesus as we shed away 2020, placing our experiences, hurts, celebrations, and fears on the altar, and leaning in eagerly to hear His voice for 2021. And we did that in our favorite way – in partnership and community with other organizations with hearts for worship, prayer, and unity. She Brews Coffee House, Tulsa Burn, and Tulsa House of Prayer teamed up with us for an awesome night of 12 hours of ongoing worship, followed by a week set aside for prayer in the She Brews prayer room.
It was so sweet to spend that length of time in the Lord’s presence. Through the various expressions and flows of worship, these main themes continued to rise up: He is planning to turn our mourning into dancing in this season, and we will surely see His goodness in the land of the living!
From dance parties to tears, we worshipped in the New Year together, and we could not be more grateful.
Keep posted on the things to come! New prayer stations are coming to The Connection Ministry’s prayer garden in Jenks, OK, She Brews will be hosting monthly worship nights and a special prayer and worship event leading up to Resurrection Sunday, and THOP is working towards a powerful event during the Centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre. We are looking forward to God’s plans for restoration this year!
