Dedicated Sacred Space

We partner with orgs, churches, and communities to establish accessible, physical prayer spaces. These hubs host varied types of prayer content, including contemplative, interactive, artistic, and denominationally diverse ways to connect with God. Every prayer space is curated to uniquely fit the needs of the community it is housed in. The selection of prayer content and design of the space is led by community-wide prayer and data mapping. The end goal is always prayer space made accessible to all, lives further transformed by Christ and connected to their Father, prayers going outward for the world, and missional dreamers inspired into action.

Accessible Prayer for All

Prayer + Justice

As a different outworking of our mission to create accessible prayer space, One River also engages in regular prayer-based outreach. Through The Just Bus, a short bus converted into a mobile prayer room, we take sacred space on wheels to people in a variety of contexts- from street festivals and churches, to shelters, food distributions, and other community gatherings. And when communities are experiencing heightened tension or unrest, we bring prayer directly into those spaces as well. Through outdoor prayer stations, we offer content that creates room for lament, forgiveness, and prayer for others.

Interwoven throughout One River’s work is a commitment to bridge divisions and unite the Church, rooted in the belief that we need every part of the Body of Christ to function as intended. This commitment takes shape through One River’s efforts to address divisions in the Church by cultivating a network of Christian faith leaders committed to pursuing greater unity. Through listening sessions and data mapping, we are learning with curiosity about the varied strengths, perspectives, and needs within the Church so that we can better support one another and work together to love and serve our community.
